The Women's Business Social
Networking that feels like a night out with women who get it.
Your next business bestie is probably already in this room.
A casual evening networking event for women who own businesses around the Southeast Metro, MN area.
Small group, name tags required, a couple of easy icebreakers, and the kind of honest conversations that turn into friendships, collaborations, and referrals.
Intentional Networking That Fits Your Life
You've been wanting to connect with other awesome women for a while now, and maybe you just haven't found the right room yet. You know good connections can grow your business, and you'd love to find a few women you really vibe with. But a few things keep getting in the way:
The Timing
Most networking happens over breakfast or lunch, right when you're with clients, running the business, or working the day job that's funding the dream.
The Cost
A lot of networking groups come with monthly dues or pricey memberships, which is a tough sell when every dollar in your business already has a job.
The Wallflower
Walking into a room full of strangers feels intimidating, and you're not quite sure how to jump into a conversation.
The Pitch
Five minutes into a chat, someone's selling you their services before they've asked a single thing about yours.
The Name
You finally click with someone great, and the whole time you're talking, you're quietly panicking because her name vanished the second she said it. Guilty.
The Women's Business Social was built to fix every one of these.
Here's How We Fixed Them
The Women's Business Social is a casual evening of networking for women who own businesses, whether you've been at it for years or you're still figuring it out. It's a smaller, more personal room where you actually get to know the women behind the businesses.
Evenings, every 6–8 weeks: It's scheduled after business hours, so you never have to choose between your clients and your connections.
One low-cost ticket: Pay only for the nights you attend, with no membership or monthly dues. The price stays low, so a kiddo's surprise fever won't break the bank.
Icebreakers that do the hard part: I guide a couple of light, fun icebreakers through the night, so you'll always have an easy conversation starter in your back pocket.
A pitch-free room: This room is for getting to know each other first. If someone's curious about what you offer, she'll ask, and that's your green light to share.
Name tags, required (and provided): I'll have one waiting for you at the door. Everyone wears the same kind, so every name is easy to read and you can stop panicking and keep talking.
It's a women-only room, typically capped at 30, which is small enough to actually get to know each other.
Here's What to Expect
Knowing what to expect makes walking in so much easier, so here's how the night usually goes:

Arrive and settle in
Grab your name tag and ease into the room. The first 10–15 minutes are for saying hi and getting comfortable.
First icebreaker
We circle up and go around the room. Share your name, your business, and your answer to a quick, easy question. Just like that, everyone knows who you are, and you'll probably already have someone in mind you want to connect with.
Mingle
Now you've got an easy opener with anyone in the room. Start with a "me too!" or a "tell me more about…", or just ask about her business. Go with whatever caught your attention during the circle.
Second icebreaker
About three-quarters of the way through, we circle up again with a slightly more thoughtful question. This is usually where conversations go deeper and people start jotting down things they want to remember.
Wrap up at your own pace
Finish your conversations, swap info with your new business bestie, and head out whenever you're ready. The night ends on time, so you can plan your evening around it.
The structure stays light on purpose, so most of the night is yours to spend in conversation.
And there may or may not be a harmonica involved. 😉
Come to connect.
Come to be around women who get it.
Come to build relationships that don't end when the night does.

Questions? I've Got You.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Any woman who owns a business is welcome. Just have her grab her own ticket so I know to expect her. If the date is sold out, shoot me an email at hollym@piecebypiecemarketingsolutions.com and I'll see what I can do.
What if something comes up and I can't make it?
Life happens, and sick kiddos don't check your calendar. Tickets are non-refundable, but they never have to go to waste. Just email me at hollym@piecebypiecemarketingsolutions.com before the event starts, and you can either pass your ticket to another woman business owner or get a code for a free ticket to a future Social.
Can I show up late or leave early?
You can! The night starts and ends on time out of respect for everyone and our host's space, so arriving late or leaving early just means a little less time to connect.
Do I need to bring a name tag?
Nope, I've got you covered! Your name tag will be waiting at the door, so you can leave yours at home.
What should I bring?
Business cards if you'd like. More importantly, bring your smile, your curiosity, and your willingness to have honest conversations.
Will there be food or drinks?
I'll have water for everyone. Food isn't provided, and since the event runs over dinnertime, I'd recommend grabbing a bite before you come or planning a late dinner after. You're welcome to bring your own drink, but it's a standing event and some spaces don't have much room to set things down, so keep it easy to hold and kind to our host's space.
Why is it women only?
Keeping it women only creates a comfortable space where conversations get honest fast. It's also the community I love building most.
Become a Space Sponsor
Every Social is hosted by a local business that sponsors its space for the evening, at no cost to either of us. You open your doors for the night, and I bring a room full of local women business owners to experience your space and get to know your business. Plus, you're featured on the event listing right here on this page.
If you have room for about 30 people to mingle and you'd love to sponsor a future Social, I'd love to hear from you! (Since this is a no-cost partnership, I'm not able to book paid event venues.)
Or reach me directly at hollym@piecebypiecemarketingsolutions.com
It's been a true honor to partner with local businesses and host these evenings for the incredible women in our community.
I can't wait to see you there! 💜
